Which brings us to the fact that HIV and AIDS are not the same thing. Thanks to medical science though, now you actually have an HIV prevention method. PrEP is also popularly known as the HIV prevention pill and it is prescribed as a precautionary measure to ever contracting HIV  or any other STD or STI.

You may think that despite the fact that you lead a lifestyle due to which you may be susceptible to contracting HIV, you are safe because you maintain safe practices. But no matter how careful you always are, there are always loopholes. In case you have more than 1 partner, you are immediately at a threat to contract HIV. Your partner may have several partners and someone in the wider circle keeping their contraction a secret is all it takes.
